  29. Dennis Chan possesses almost three decades experience in
  30. marketing and production in Hong Kongs show biz, and has
  31. directed, written, and produced quite a few films. Joining
  32. the supporting cast of some famous Hong Kong films, he is
  33. probably best remembered by Hong Kong cinema fans as the
  34. wacky school principal in Stephen Chows Fight Back to
  35. School. His latest directorial piece, The Romantic Fool,
  36. his first film made in Mainland China, stars Jia Zhongchao
  37. (a.k.a. Spirit Blue) from Men Suddenly in Black and
  38. model-turned-actress Cathy Chui, who is married to the
  39. son of one of Hong Kongs richest tycoons. Veterans like
  40. Eric Tsang and Elaine Jin also join the cast.

  42. Young girl Xia moves into a house in a remote village to
  43. write her novel. The mailbox of an abandoned house opposite
  44. to hers has been jammed with letters sent to someone whose
  45. name is Yao Shuman. Xia finally gets in touch with Yao,
  46. but Yao asks her to burn all the letters. Out of curiosity,
  47. Xia reads all those letters and uncovers the love story
  48. between Yao and a romantic fool seven years ago...
